The project
is conducted by Jean Cuisenier who has a double experience, professional
and private : as a former director of a CNRS laboratory and of a national
museum, the editor of a scientific periodical and a scientific research
collection published by the Presses Universitaires de France, and as a forty-years
practicer of sailing in the English Channel and the Mediterranean. He knows
most of the sites mentioned here. He is assisted for logistics by Rémy Levallois.
The navigation crew is composed of people who have a long experience of
Atlantic and Mediterranean crossings : Gilles Baloux, Jean-Luc Boccongibod,
Patrice Rambert, Frederic Beauvillain. They are joined, according to the
stages, with specialists in archaeology philology, botany, meteorology,
and with foreign experts, essentially Italian and Greek, namely Alain Ballabriga,
Nara Bernardi, Antonino Buttitta, Irad Malkin. A photographer, Hervé Jézéquel,
and a videocameraman for television broadcasting, Dominique Czarny, also
take part in the expedition.
