Ethnologie française is a journal which is concerned with analysing the social facts which shape our cultures. Founded in 1971, the journal publishes articles inspired by researches carried out in French-speaking cultures. Today, it is increasingly open to wider European perspectives and to broader fields of investigation. The journal scientific project positions is clearly within the debates that emerge from our relationships with the world. Taking a contextual look at the findings of field research, it seeks to question the theorical tools generally used to talk about societies. Its book review look for confrontations with other fields : history, philosophy, linguistics... In its editorial policies, Ethnologie française is aimed at a readership of researchs, university staff or those responsible for research institutions. But its contents are of equal interest for anyone who is concerned by the way our societies are endlessly changing. Ethnologie française is a quarterly journal, with thematic issue of miscellaneous articles.
